Council’s 2015/16 budget proposals revealed
A council tax increase of 1.9% has been included in our budget proposals for 2015/16 .
Alternatives such as freezing council tax or increasing it by a lesser amount would mean reducing our planned level of service to make the necessary savings. To increase council tax by more than 1.9% would mean holding a referendum at an estimated cost of £800,000.
Local people are being invited to make comments on the proposals using the online form or by emailing: email@example.com by midnight on 1 February. Details of our freepost address and phone number are here.
The Executive meets again on 3 February when it will make recommendations for approval by the full council on 20 February.
