Local businessman Carl Macey has been active in the local community for many years, and for the last four years, has been Conservative County Councillor for Skegness North. Along with running his successful hospitality business Carl has been at the forefront of the campaign to protect Lincolnshire’s Healthcare system, as Chairman of Lincolnshire’s Health Scrutiny Panel.

Carl and his family have lived in the area for the last 27 years and run a business within the town, which helps to focus his mind and drive his ambition to see Skegness grow and prosper. In particular, he’s keen to Kickstart the economy after the current pandemic ends, improved infrastructure and deliver fairer funding for all areas of the county. One of his driving ambitions is to provide better public transport for Skegness, especially during the summer months, potentially with a seasonal park and ride scheme to better link the holiday parks and town centre.

A proud Conservative Carl feels standing as a Conservative matches his beliefs, and many of those of the local community, in being forward-looking, conscientious, compassionate, and working together to achieve the best for our county and country.

“Having worked in the community I have been successfully involved in securing a free to use skate ramp in the local recreation ground, have pushed for the investment into our roads such as Castleton Boulevard and the ongoing works on Roman Bank and helping our residents with their concerns.”
